What we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your first and last name
• Your email address
• Your reading activity, devotionals read, guides completed
• Your daily streak and usage history
• Verses you save and badges you earn
• Your avatar color preference
• A unique device identifier stored on your device to prevent abuse

How we use it

Your information is used solely to power your experience in the app:

• Personalizing your greeting and profile
• Tracking your reading progress and streak
• Remembering your saved verses and completed guides
• Sending a welcome email when you sign up
• Preventing abuse of community features such as Amen counts

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

How we store it

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider with enterprise-grade security. Your data is stored on servers located in the United States (us-east-2 region). Your account data is protected by:

• Row-level security policies — you can only access your own data
• Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transfer
• No public access to your personal information

Emails

We use Brevo to send transactional emails. When you sign up, you will receive a welcome email from sdacorner@gmail.com. We do not send marketing emails or newsletters without your explicit consent.

Local storage & device identifiers

The app uses your device's local storage to remember your session between visits and to store a unique device identifier. This identifier is used to prevent abuse of community features and is not linked to any third-party tracking system. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings, which will reset your local preferences.

Age requirement

SDA Corner is intended for users aged 13 and over. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

GDPR & international users

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• The right to access, correct, or erase your personal data
• The right to restrict or object to processing
• The right to data portability
• The right to withdraw consent at any time

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data

You can delete your account directly from the app under Profile → Account → Delete account. All your data will be permanently removed within 7 days.

SDA Corner uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Brevo — transactional email (brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy)

• For email, reply to any email from us with "Unsubscribe" or email sdacorner@gmail.com
• Delete your account from Profile → Account → Delete account, which removes all your data and stops all communications
